Twitter ID

A Twitter ID is the number Twitter assigns to a profile. Instead of using your name or email address to identify you, In the new release we will import the Twitter/User ID. This way, when your contacts or leads change any of their personal information, Social CRM Tools still knows who they are. Social CRM Tools will be doing all kinds of things behind the scenes with user IDs, such as relaying statuses, formatting rss feeds, and putting your contacts in order. You can also utilize Twitter IDs in your workflow and applications within Salesforce.Com.

Video: Customer Retention Strategy with Social CRM Tools

December 26th, 20094:52 pm @

Over the last 2 – 4 weeks our Social CRM Tools team has spent some time analyzing some negative tweets regarding some Big Multimedia Brands in the Telecomm, and Entertainment space. What we found was surprising! While we can not reveal the company names in the study, we will highlight some of the findings.

  1. Approximately 70% of the customers who tweeted negatively about the product or service ended up canceling the product or service. We confirmed this in all cases directly with the person who tweeted. In another case, we were actually able to confirm with the company that the accounts were cancelled.
  2. Approximately 90% of the customers who tweeted, tweeted about their discontent with the service prior to canceling.
  3. 85% of the customers who canceled never re-instated their Service with the company while approximately 15% ended up reconsidering after they either received a better deal.

In this video, learn how to use Social CRM Tools to implement a Customer Retention Strategy across Social Networks. The pro active Social Media monitoring features in Social CRM Tools allow you to monitor, analyze, track, and engage customers when they are thinking about canceling the product or service you are providing. The power of Social CRM Tools provides your retention reps with the tools to properly engage with your customers without the scripted Retention Sales pitch.

Fix & Update: No Results When Searching & Importing Twitter Contacts & Leads

December 25th, 20095:45 pm @

no results
In our initial release of Social CRM Tools, we utilized the Twitter Search API located at http://search.twitter.com to display the search results of any leads and contacts that you attempted to Search and Import records for.  When querying, you recieved no results, or innacurate results in the table.  This was occuring due to the fact that the search was searching for conversations and not the Twitter Profile Name.  In the 3.2 Beta Version of Social CRM Tools, we have fixed this so that it searches for First and Last name via the Twitter Profile Name by using the Tweepz API.  In this version we have fixed the Twitter Look up to ensure that it utilizes the Tweepz Search Engine vs. the Twitter Search Engine.  Previously, the Twitter Search and Import Function would look for the first and last name of a lead or contact in Twitter Conversations.  This was not resulting in finding many results in the search engine.  In this release, it will enable you to import Twitter Profiles by First and Last Name.

Whats New In The Next Release of Social CRM Tools?

December 22nd, 200910:46 pm @

socialcrmlogo

Its been a grind working to improve our Social CRM Tools Product for Salesforce.Com. If you have not tried our product yet, download it now.  Social CRM Tools is a best in class  Social Media Sales, and Support  application providing a 360 view of your customer relationships, prospects, and accounts with their corresponding Social Media Profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In.  In this blog post I will summarize what is coming in the next couple of weeks to help your business improve its customer relationships, provide pro active support, and effectively sell more to your prospects in a consultative way vs. a Cold Call approach!!

If your not familiar with our initial release feature set and our recent beta release feature set, be sure to click on the respective links to get familiar with is already available in our tool.  Our video section will also help you to understand how the application works.

We have deployed alot of great functionality in the course of a month so here is a sneak peek at what is coming.

Upcoming Features:

  • The Ability to Tweet Back To Customers Using Support Cases – Today you can create Cases using Twitter conversation monitoring within Salesforce.Com. In our next release we will be providing Customer Support agents the ability to tweet back to customers right within the Support Case. This will enable your agents to stay connected with your prospects, and customers who have questions with their product or service.
  • Revised User Interface for Facebook & Twitter Importing – While you can currently import Twitter, and Facebook information into your Lead and Contact profiles, we have given this user interface experience an uplift to make your imports more intuitive so that you can rapidly import the correct Twitter and Facebook profiles with more ease. This helps when you have leads and contacts with the same or similar names on Twitter and Facebook. This includes improved Picture Views, Improved Columns to make your import selection more intuitive, and higher resolution tables to immediately identify your contacts and leads during the import process. Now when you have someone with a common name like John Perez, you will be able to efficiently sort through and select what Twitter and Facebook profiles you want to import.
  • Import of Twitter ID in Social CRM Profiles - In efforts to continuously leverage the Twitter API in every aspect of our application, we will be importing the Twitter ID field of your imported Contact or Lead. This will set the foundation for upcoming features to be released like the ability to directly tweet to your leads or contacts, ability to retweet and support your customers, display and monitor real-time conversations of your contacts, and much more.
  • Linked In Importing - Currently we provide robust capability to lookup information about your contacts and leads on Linked In via a name and email look up. Our customers have asked for the ability to import that information and this will be coming soon. The primary reason for the delay was that Linked In just recently opened their API to the public.  This feature was unavailable to our company until recently and this is on the road map for our next release.

Upcoming Fixes:

  • Fix to Twitter Import Button – There is one major fix we are applying in the next couple of weeks that you should all be aware of.  Currently our “Search and Import Twitter Conversation” button is searching for Conversations referencing the name of your leads and contacts to import Social CRM information.  As a result, your Social CRM Profiles may be harder to look up if aliases are utilized or if conversations are not directly linked to the real name of a person.  This is a limitation of the Twitter Search API (http://search.twitter.com) that does not currently have the ability to search and index the Name or Bio field of a Twitter Profile. We will be fixing this within the next month so that you get First and Last Name correlation when importing Twitter Profiles into your Lead or Contact Record.

Let us know what upcoming features should be in our next release by emailing  info@socialcrmtools.com.
